Most Corpus Christi House volunteers work one half-day shift a week, 8-12:30 or 12:30-5:00. Saturday volunteers who work during the week usually work alternate weeks. We are looking for volunteers who are able to make a long-term commitment to work every week (except, of course, for vacations, etc.). Volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent.
Volunteers issue shower supplies, sort clothing, run the washers and dryers, answer the telephone, distribute mail, make coffee, and perform other miscellaneous duties to support the operations at Corpus Christi House. Just as important as performing these tasks, though, is the spirit of hospitality the volunteers offer to Boise’s homeless population.
HOUSE VOLUNTEER: You would be one of three persons who work at CCH either on the morning shift between 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon or the afternoon shift from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. one day each week.
